Old Boy, directed by Park Chan Wook, may have been released in 2003, but it is anything but old news. On December 3rd, Time Out New York Magazine published the list for "Top 50 Movies of the Decade" and Old Boy managed to nab the 27th spot. Mulholland Drive, directed by David Lynch was picked as the #1 movie of the decade for the list. Old Boy also took the 50th spot for A.V. Club's "Best Films of the Decade" list. And on December 2nd, Central Michigan Life, student-operated campus newspaper for Central Michigan University, placed Old Boy in the #1 spot in its list for "Top Eight Movies of the 2000s." Additionally, in the British publication Empire's "Picture Perfect: Iconic Movie Stills" list published on November 8th, Old Boy placed 33rd and was the only Korean movie to make the list. Are you surprised to learn that Old Boy is still receiving so much praise after 6 years?
