We reported earlier about actor, Kim Myung Min losing weight drastically (more than 20kg) for his upcoming movie, My Love by My Side. If you were shocked by his image in movie posters released earlier on, the new picture from the movie released recently will shock you even further. Kim Myung Min is cast as Jong Woo who has Lou Gehrig's disease (progressive, fatal, neurodegenerative disease) and his drastic weight loss during the course of filming, made fans highly worried for his physical health. Kim Myung Min who is 1.80m tall and weighs around 72kg, is known by many to have a tall, strong figure. But the latest movie picture, showing Kim Myung Min's shrivelled body frame, has led to fans feeling sad for him. The new picture sees Kim Myung Min lying on a bed and you could clearly see his ribs protruding from his body. This picture was an effect from Kim Myung Min losing over 20kg for the movie, without the use of any CG. Patients with Lou Gehrig's disease behave in the same way as normal people, but they were start to lose control of their body gradually. Kim Myung Min spoke about his experience, "I can't really say that I was losing weight. It was just an experience of going without any food. From the perpective and flow of the movie, it required me to lose weight gradually day-by-day, and really placed great stress upon me." Kim Myung Min had developed hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) as a result of his drastic weight loss during filming.
