Sexy, shaky Chae Yeon recently took a walk down Nostalgia Lane, revisiting her alma mater Gwangyang High School on KBS's Nice to Meet You Sunbae-nim. Other than having overenthusiastic high schoolers shove cameras in her face: Chae Yeon also had to endure the unveiling of her high school senior photo: Let's just say... the years have been kind to the 1978-er. Most kind. Not only did the school display her school photo, but they showed off her grades for everyone to see: Now, to many of you, that chart looks like a bunch of mumbo jumbo. So allow me to elucidate things for you. Before 2005, i.e., when Chae Yeon was in high school, the Korean grading system used a 100-point scale: It's much like the A-F grading system, with Su corresponding to an A, Wu corresponding to a B, etc. So, the grades revealed on the show are as follows: Music - Wu (B) and Mi (C) Sports - Wu (B) and Su (A) English - Yang (D) and Ga (F)... ouch. If you're wondering whether any other Koreans are going to cross over into America, then you can definitely cross Chae Yeon off of that list. The visit to her high school doesn't seem like it was too flattering for the pop star, but it's good to see that Chae Yeon was able to find her calling despite her educational shortcomings.
