Mate Releases New Music Video

Posted by TheProdigy1 pt Thursday, May 7, 2009

Remember Mate, the Korean indie rock band that debuted last week? A lot of you seemed excited so here's some more of them. They just came out with a new music video for their song "Longing". Check it out: Video Credits: JaeuraznMV I love how both the pianist and the guitarist are vocally talented and involved. From the 3:17 mark on is just gets more awesome. I've never seen anyone play the drums with such serenity...(no homo)... but I'm sure you ladies would like to Mate with him. Anyways, I also found out that they're great live! I doubted their ability live but it turns out they sound just like their recordings, if not better. Check them out live in a performance of their first single"It's Alright": Credits: Mardi09 However, again I do have some complaints. "Longing" sounds too much like Nell for my liking. I mean I love the fact that a new indie band has potential to make it big in K-pop but I hate that they're going the same route as Nell by promoting mellow, slow, depressing, ballad songs. On their CD they had many other songs with distorted electric guitars and faster drum beats but they chose the song they knew would sell. Hopefully, when they gain more popularity, they'll play the faster songs. Like the song "Fly To The Sky": Credits: 199urnobody199
