MAMAMOO's Hwa Sa opened up about getting mad at her label CEO for weight restrictions.
On the September 17th episode of the YouTube series 'Neighborhood Star K', Hwa Sa talked about her elementary school days, explaining her nickname "gangster wife." She expressed she would stand up to boys who bullied girls, and even her older sisters, who also had the nickname, were known for their strong personalities.
The MAMAMOO member also shared a story from her trainee days, revealing she was asked to lose weight from 60kg (132.3lbs) to 48kg (105.8lbs). She worked hard and managed to get down to 49kg (108lbs), but she was still told she would be cut from the trainee program. Upset, she confronted the agency CEO, and afterwards, she wrote a song titled, "It's My Choice".
Though she expected the CEO to think she was crazy, he ended up liking her more.
