Son Dam Bi opened up about receiving fertility treatments and weight gain.

In the June 20th vlog posted to her YouTube channel 'Dam Bi Son,' the singer and actress revealed to fans she's been undergoing fertility treatments to get pregnant. She expressed, "My face became really swollen. I've started fertility treatments. I had a lot of concerns, and I've started the treatments. The first attempt was a failure. I'm now on my second attempt, currently on the fourth day of injections."

Son Dam Bi continued, "I hoped the first attempt would succeed, but even when it didn't, I didn't lose hope. Because I'm at an age where expectations aren't high. It was disappointing, but I hope that if we both earnestly desire it, it will happen someday. I did get choked up when I failed. It wasn't infertility, but considering both my and my husband's ages, we chose fertility treatments. I realized how difficult it is even without infertility."

Son Dam Bi then explained she suddenly gained 7kg (15.4lbs) in weight due to the treatments as well as her doctor's advice to gain weight. She said, "If you're too thin, it might not work out. It became the highest weight of my life. Also, during fertility treatments, you can gain weight. It might be hard for some who are struggling with a visible belly, but you can't help it. Don't look in the mirror as much during those times."

Son Dam Bi married former speed skater Lim Kyou Hyuk in May of 2022.
