Grammy Award-winning audio engineer David "YUNGIN" Kim, also known as Kim Young-in, is stepping into the spotlight as a music producer with his debut single 'No Lowkey'.
'No Lowkey' showcases YUNGIN's dynamic production style and features contributions from American producer Cha Cha Malone. The track also includes verses from rappers Jessi and C Jamm, adding a rich layer of collaboration to the debut effort.
Speaking about his debut, YUNGIN expressed both excitement and nervousness, which were quickly alleviated by the contributions of Jessi and C Jamm. "The moment I heard Jessi and C Jamm's verses, all my worries disappeared, and I enjoyed the process," he said.Jessi praised the collaboration, highlighting it as one of the most liberating and creative sessions she has ever experienced, expressing a desire to work with YUNGIN on her next album.
C Jamm also shared his excitement about the project, noting the immediate physical reaction to YUNGIN's beats and the honor of working with Jessi, whom he has admired since childhood.
YUNGIN is planning to release his first full-length album 'Did You Know' in July, which will explore his life's journey through music. The album boasts an impressive lineup of featured artists, including Jay Park, Paul Blanco, Changmo, SINCE, Sokodomo, Los, Don Mills, Kard's BM, pH-1, Justhis, and Loopy.
Born in Seoul and immigrating to Los Angeles at the age of four, YUNGIN honed his skills at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood. He has worked with a variety of high-profile artists, including Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, and Hit-boy, establishing a significant presence in the music industry.
