Ryu Soo Jung, formerly of the group Lovelyz, has formed a project duo band with American dark pop icon XYLØ.
Ahead of her official album release, she unveiled the 'SHXT (feat. XYLØ)' Track Video Teaser. Her official album '2ROX' is set to be released on the 24th.
The album, themed around an American vintage concept, is filled with the 'dark pop' genre and a rock-chic mood. The contrasting vocals of the two artists blend to create a unique charm. Ryu participated in composing and writing all the songs in the album, weaving stories of love, friendship, and confidence.
XYLØ is considered an icon of pop for Generation Z in the United States. Originally a sibling duo, it transitioned to a solo act with main vocalist Paige Duddy. XYLØ is known for hit tracks like 'yes & no' and 'CHLORINE.'
Never heard of the collab partner before so checked YT. Only two videos I saw over the 1 mil views mark for a US artist makes them an "icon of pop" now? Genuine question, seems like overhype articles about it today.
