The Highlight members are celebrating their 13th debut anniversary on October 16!

To commemorate the special day, members Doojoon, Yoseob, Kikwang, and Dongwoon released a special message to their fans 'Light' in an official video released by their agency AroundUs Entertainment.

"Hello, this is Highlight. Wow, 13 years. That's crazy. [The same age as] an elementary school, sixth grader. In one more year, we'll be going to middle school. Middle school!" the members began the video by joking. "It feels like we've been busy steadily receiving support and love for the past 13 years. Now we'll be becoming middle schoolers next year, so thank you. A 13-year time period really isn't short at all. It's a really long time. Today we had a concert, and we're grateful for the fact we were able to perform in front of many people and wondered if it's really been that long."

"Really thanks to all of you, these 13 years have been enjoyable and happy. In the future, we'll remain together and continue to enjoy this and be happy, and we hope that together we'll be able to do many things filled with love," they continued. "We're really, really thankful that we've been able to make tons of great memories over the past 13 years. Moving forward, we'll make many great memories too, right? We hope that we'll be able to wonderfully have our 14th year too, and we sincerely thank you for being with us healthfully until now. We hope that Highlight and Light will be healthy, happy, and continue to rely on one another. This has been Highlight! Thank you."

Meanwhile, the Highlight members first debuted in the group B2ST on October 16, 2009 with their 1st mini album 'Beast Is the B2ST,' later releasing a number of hit singles including "Shock," "Breath," "Fiction," and "Beautiful Night." On March 20, 2017, all B2ST members, minus Hyunseung, redebuted through the group Highlight with the single "Plz Don't Be Sad." The current line-up consists of Doojoon, Yoseob, Kikwang, and Dongwoon, with Hyunseung and Junhyung currently focused on solo activities.
