TXT is officially back with a new album!
On May 9 KST, the Big Hit Music boy group released their fourth mini album 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child,' including its title track "Good Boy Gone Bad."
"Good Boy Gone Bad" continues the love story first depicted through "0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)" and "LO$ER=LO♡ER," except now, the tale's boy character is experiencing anger and loss after losing the first love sung about in those singles. The song, which the group describes as a 'Gen Z break-up song,' has a dynamic sound fusing hip-hop and rock to reflect the boy's dark emotions, with the innocence he felt in love shifting to emotions that are broken yet impactful. These emotions are conveyed through the group's dance performance, including a hand gesture that mimics severing one's neck and a shaking head movement meant to convey the boy's anger and heartbreak.
Meanwhile, TXT will be commemorating the new album's release through a special fan showcase aired via Mnet and the M2 YouTube channel. The showcase will begin at 8 PM KST, two hours after the album drops.
