DAY6's Young K talked about what the new title song means to him.
As reported, DAY6's unit Even of Day is gearing up for their comeback with 2nd mini album 'Right Through Me'. In this introductory film, Young K sat down and explained what that title means to him.
He said: "It's a message that leaves an impact on you. The kind of message that you hear and it goes right through you, becoming forever engrained. Once, someone reprimanded me and told me, 'Say something if you have a problem.' Then, after holding it all in, I would explode. Later, there were times I regretted it, thinking 'That's not what I meant...'".
Young K added, "Our fans give us a variety of messages, but someone told me recently: 'You are all humans, so it's okay if you're down sometimes.' My father also once said that life is like a shoelace: they are bound to be untied, just like how humans change their minds after three days. It's how often you tie those shoelaces that matters. I don't know why, but that saying really stuck with me. It's okay to be loose once in a while. But, in those moments, instead of asking 'What should I do?', you can just retie those shoelaces."
DAY6 (Even of Day)'s new album will drop on July 5 KST.
Good words to live by.
Young K is fairly underrated. Day6 in general is, really. But it's okay, the fandom knows how talented these gents are.
