On the April 2 broadcast of KBS2's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook', singer Kim Se Jung showed her 100% real reaction after she nervously handed sunbae artist IU her new album!
While talking about how she came to collaborate with musician Sunwoo JungA for her hit song "Plant", Kim Se Jung also mentioned that her fangirl dreams came true on this particular day as well, as she got to appear on the same broadcast as IU!
Smiling, Kim Se Jung told MC Yoo Hee Yeol, "I honestly cried a little in the waiting room just now. Really. I thought to myself, 'Wow, I've really made it,' and I seriously choked up. In my head, I started thinking about all that I've been though in the past few years."
Here, MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked, "You've never met [IU] before until today?" Kim Se Jung responded, "Only in passing, like just watching her from behind or something. Even today, I was super nervous, and I just didn't want to bother her so I quickly just gave her my CD and got out of the way."
Seeing Kim Se Jung's excitement, MC Yoo Hee Yeol sympathized, "Why didn't you talk to her more~ Why don't we go and tell her that you are a big fan~". Kim Se Jung jumped and said, "No, don't!" Watch her adorable reaction, (~1:23 mark) above!
Next, Kim Se Jung also opened up about the challenges she faced as she took on composing, writing, and producing her own songs for the first time. "There is a song in my album called 'Maybe I Am'. It is about a girl who is afraid of love. It is about me, because I tend to be afraid of relationships, both romantic and just interpersonally in general. When I look back on myself, I think that I've always drawn a line between myself and others, because from the beginning, I'm afraid of getting hurt. Whether it's a romantic relationship or a relationship with friends, you have to open up your heart fully if you want to have real interactions. But I don't have the courage for that. I've always kind of told myself that there's no such thing as lasting relationships. It's pointless to even start something, when I'm not even going to marry this person. I know that the relationship isn't going to work out. Because I don't have these kinds of experiences, it's difficult to write emotional songs."
Hearing this, MC Yoo Hee Yeol sternly(?) advised, "See, this is not the time for you to be spending all your time practicing how to write songs. Don't just build up muscle if you have nowhere to use it! You need to start seeing someone. I'm sure once you have the experience, you'll be able to write hit songs."

Someone once questioned, HOW can a singer who has never fall in love, write good love songs?
A singer once countered that question. Does it mean Authors who WRITE Murder Mystery books have to experience killing someone or losing someone to a murderer, before they can write bestsellers?
there is 2 psychist who appeared on Problem Child, and is often giving relationship counselling, but they have never been married also.
