Former Boyfriend member Minwoo opened up about the stress of monthly evaluations for trainees.
In Minwoo's latest Youtube video, the former idol talks about the life of an idol trainee and the steps to an official debut. He discussed how his former label Starship Entertainment only had a few trainees at first as it was a relatively small agency, but soon more trainees joined, which caused fiercer competition.
Minwoo then described monthly evaluations or "tests," saying, "There's a thing called a 'monthly test' every month. At each monthly test, the heads of the company decide who to put in a group or which concept the group should go for. Your debut depends on the monthly test, so everyone works really hard." He continued, "During the monthly test, some of the trainees drop out and some just quit and leave because of the stress and difficulty."

For sure not easy but that's not only in the Entertainment. Modern life is a very stressful one because of the competition. Sometimes, even working hard is not enough to meet your goal
