Rain revealed J.Y. Park complained for 2 hours after he dropped his track "Gang" in 2017.
On the January 2nd episode of 'Knowing Brothers', J.Y. Park talked about his reaction to Rain's "Gang" choreography, saying, "There's a part of the dance when you fall to the floor. I fell down while watching it. He went independent [from the label], so I couldn't complain to him. I watched 'Gang' and let go everything I was holding back for 11 years, and for the first time, I told him what disappointed me. Now that we're promoting together, I understood what the problem is," referring to their recent collaboration track "Switch to Me".
Rain then said, "Actually, JYP Entertainment isn't doing well because of J.Y. Park. It's doing well because he's not giving his opinion. He's the oldest of the oldest old-school. You have to break up choreography these days, but he doesn't like that. He doesn't like it because he can't pull it off."
As for the later success of "Gang", J.Y. Park said, "I let go of all the complaints I held in for 11 years for 2 hours. After a few months, the song started to do well. I already said what I said, so it was embarrassing." Rain responded, "These days, I don't know the flow. You have to know what internet users are into."
