Epik High is officially back!
On January 18 KST, the hip-hop trio returned with part one of their 10th full-length album 'Epik High is Here.' Through the album's title, Epik High shows their continued commitment to their 17-year career together, while offering a comforting message to listeners who feel like nobody in the world understands them.
"Rosario," one of the album's two title tracks, is a trendy Latin-inspired hip-hop track that features CL and Zico, two other artists who are steadily building their own reputations as veterans of the K-Pop genre. The confident track sends a message to the haters, containing a message that says: "I am a living legend, and I'm here to stay."
The second title track, titled "Based on a True Story," features R&B soloist Heize. The song is something of a theme song for anyone who has related maybe a little too much with a sad drama or movie. The song's classical track sounds less hip-hop and more like the background accompaniment to a movie or anime, with Epik High putting their own unique twist on a traditional rap sound.
Meanwhile, 'Epik High is Here' contains a star-studded roster of featured artists, including G.Soul, Miso, Nucksal, Woo Won Jae, Changmo, Kim Sa Wol, and the return of former iKON leader B.I.
