A recent video of Park Woo Jin has been getting a big reaction from netizens.
The former Wanna One member had concluded shooting his appearance on the Thailand edition of SBS variety show 'Laws of the Jungle' and was on his way home when he was suddenly chased by sasaeng fans at the airport. In the clip, the idol can be seen looking behind him before darting through the crowd and rushing to a more secure area.
Netizens on Korean message board Instiz expressed shock in response to the video, with comments ranging from "My heart is really broken. Please quit following him like this. I don't know the reason why people can be like this. I'm so upset." and "I saw this and my heart hurt so much that even now it's hard to sleep." to "Why are sasaengs like this? But, wow, Woo Jin can run really fast!".
This is so gross and annoying. It’s one thing if a celebrity wants to pose for photos or do meet ups with fans but it’s another to stalk or chase them when they’re just trying to go about their business. And I’m tired of people trying to justify this as okay because they “signed up for this”. It’s no excuse for bad behaviors from “fans”. Your oppa doesn’t like it, doesn’t want it and you’re not making a good impression. How can you “like” (more like obsess) someone but intentionally make their life more difficult because you’re acting like a nutcase? Agencies need to be firmer in these cases and start threatening lawsuits or exposing these “fans” to help protect their celebrities. They’re still people after all and deserve not to feel their safety or life is in danger.
