A horrible car accident has occurred in front of Gimhae International Airport, leaving a taxi driver in critical condition.
On July 10, 12:50 PM KST, a driver and a passenger sitting in the front seat were accelerating up a highway to the 2nd level ramp in a BMW. Even as they approached the airport, they did not reduce the high speed at which they were going.

The dashcam recorded the front seat passenger saying, "Awesome!!"�when initially accelerating and "Watch out for the corner!"�when the vehicle reached a sharp corner on the highway. However, even when the driver reached the corner, he did not slow down. While continuing to accelerate, the BMW eventually collided directly into a taxi driver who was trying to enter into his vehicle.
The BMW, as well as the taxi, sustained heavy damage. The taxi driver was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the accident and he is in critical condition.
Police have charged the 35-year-old driver Mr. Jung with an unspecified sentence, and are currently investigating how fast the vehicle was going at the time of the accident.
