Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon has hinted at the launch of a new sub-unit.
On February 24, Hyoyeon took to Instagram to share a photo along with the caption, “HyoriSoo vs. RiSooHyo vs. SooRiHyo.”
In the revealed image, Hyoyeon poses confidently for the camera alongside fellow members Yuri and Sooyoung, raising anticipation among fans.
She further fueled excitement by adding, “Main vocal ranking D-1.”
Fans reacted enthusiastically in the comments, leaving messages such as “HyoriSoo is coming,” “I can’t wait,” “Let’s go, main vocal Hyoyeon,” and “I love all of them,” expressing high expectations for the potential sub-unit’s debut.
Previously, Hyoyeon appeared on the SBS variety show 'Dolsing Fourmen' in December last year, where she candidly shared, “I was a good singer too, but since I didn’t have many parts, my singing didn’t really improve.”
She also jokingly declared plans to form “HyoriSoo” as a rival to Girls’ Generation’s sub-unit Girls’ Generation-TTS. “When we said we were forming HyoriSoo, Taeyeon just stayed quiet. That made it even more upsetting,” she said with a laugh. “Sooyoung asked why my name had to come first,” she added, drawing further laughter.
