Kim Kardashian’s recent trip to South Korea continues to make headlines. After being spotted shopping in Seoul, the reality star shared a series of photos on social media showing herself receiving a facial treatment at a local clinic. The posts quickly went viral, fueling discussions on both international platforms and Korean online communities.
South Korea, often called the "mecca of beauty treatments," is world-renowned for its innovative skincare and cosmetic procedures. Beauty expert Vanessa Lee told ET, "Korea is known for their innovation in cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures and prioritizes efficiency and quality. … I always like to go straight to the source of where professionals are mastering their techniques." However, the specific treatments Kim received were not revealed.

Korean netizens, nonetheless, had plenty to say about Kim’s beauty experience in Korea. While some were impressed, others were skeptical of the photos and raised questions about whether the procedure was genuine or part of a marketing campaign.
They commented:
"Looks like 'The Substance' in real life. lol."
"Why blood..?"
"If you draw blood, spin it in a centrifuge, and put it back in that tiny amount, what effect does it even have?"
"If you watch Kim’s show, she always gets weird sponsored stuff and seems to believe it all. Looks like she’ll do anything if they pay her."
"The syringe is kind of scary."
"What’s with the syringe? That’s scary."
"Is that blood???? Why’s the syringe so big?"
"Looks like she came to get stem cell treatment."
"Ah, so it was stem cells."
"Whoa they’re drawing blood without even wearing gloves..."
"Just feels like typical marketing strategy… There hasn’t been any proof she’s been doing stem cell treatments for months, then suddenly 'photos of rejuvenated Hollywood stars suspected of stem cell procedures' started spreading, right? That was the sign. Think about it. Flights, hotels, SNS promotion for someone like Kim, how many billions would that cost? No small clinic could handle that scale. It’s the stem cell companies themselves hiring marketing firms. lol. Just like when Cardi B did a Korean BB mud pack ad, now they’re marketing globally through Korea. Some agencies specialize in this, charging huge sums. The clinics recoup the money by charging patients way more. The procedure might be effective and groundbreaking, but don’t naively think 'Korean tech is so good that even Kim came all the way here!!'"
"Sure Kim could come for some treatments. But uploading perfectly documented photos of every single step as if on display?! If you really believe that’s not paid promotion, be careful of voice phishing."
"A lot of people are getting that stem cell treatment too these days."
"She's still in Korea?"
