Broadcaster Lee Ji Hye has fans laughing with her playful complaint that she might get "banned" from Hawaii and Okinawa—after her vacation photos from both destinations were repeatedly mistaken for places in Korea.
On April 8th, Lee Ji Hye shared several photos from her family trip to Okinawa via social media, writing, “Just know this is a family vacation.” The day before, she had posted teaser photos from the mystery destination, sparking a flurry of hilarious guesses from her friends and fans.
Despite the tropical setting, fellow celebrities like Kim So Young and Yoon Hye Jin jokingly suggested she was in “Gangwon-do” or “Jeju Island,” poking fun at how familiar the scenery looked. Lee Ji Hye responded with mock exasperation, posting, “Yangpyeong, Gapyeong, Chuncheon, Nami Island, Yeosu… you guys are too much!”
The situation was reminiscent of a previous trip in 2023, when her vacation photos from Hawaii were also mistaken for Jeju Island. Now that the same thing happened in Okinawa, Lee humorously warned, “If I get banned from Hawaii and Okinawa, it’s on you.”
Lee Ji Hye married tax accountant Moon Jae Wan in 2017, and the couple has two daughters. Her candid, comedic posts about family life and travel continue to charm fans across social media.
