EXO member Xiumin has recently made headlines as he appears on MBC's popular variety program 'Point of Omniscient Interfere', amid ongoing tensions between his agency and KBS's entertainment division.
This development has drawn considerable attention, especially regarding Xiumin's participation in KBS2's 'Music Bank', as conflicts between his agency INB100 and KBS have been escalating.
According to broadcasting industry sources on March 7, Xiumin has completed the filming for 'Point of Omniscient Interfere,' with the production team finalizing the broadcast schedule. During the episode, Xiumin will share insights into his daily life, alongside representatives from his agency INB100.
This marks Xiumin's return to a variety program since his appearance on MBC's 'I Live Alon'e in 2019, where he gained global recognition for his hiking adventure with TVXQ’s Changmin on Hallasan Mountain before his military enlistment.
The timing of Xiumin's appearance on 'Point of Omniscient Interfere' is significant, as it comes at a time of heightened friction between INB100’s parent company, One Hundred Label, and KBS’s entertainment department.
On March 4, INB100 issued a statement claiming that KBS had informed them that Xiumin would not be allowed to appear on programs like' Music Bank 'if he was also appearing on shows with SM Entertainment artists. KBS quickly denied these claims, calling them "false." However, tensions have continued to rise, particularly when Big Planet Made Entertainment artists, including Lee Mu jin and Lee Soo Geun, did not participate in their scheduled KBS recordings on March 5 and 7, respectively, leading to cancellations of those segments.
Given these ongoing conflicts, there is increasing speculation about whether Xiumin will also appear on other music programs, including MBC's 'Show! Music Core,' as the standoff with KBS unfolds.
