Actress Kim Hieora has officially resumed her career after resolving past school violence allegations.

According to Star News on March 13, Kim Hieora has been cast in the upcoming film 'Savior' (directed by Shin Joon), set to be released this year. This marks her first project in nearly two years since the 2023 tvN drama 'The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch' and the musical 'Frida: The Last Night Show.' Having settled the school violence controversy in April last year, Kim is now making a long-awaited comeback through 'Savior.' This will be her second film appearance since 'The fool on the hill' in 2006.

Savior is an occult thriller that follows a family’s desperate struggle to break free from a horrifying curse bestowed upon them as the cost of a long-desired miracle. The film stars actors Kim Byung Chul and Song Ji Hyo in leading roles. Director Shin Joon, whose previous work Yongsoon won the 'Daemyung Culture Wave Award' at the '21st Busan International Film Festival,' is helming the project.

As anticipation builds for 'Savior,' expected to continue the success of Korea’s occult film wave sparked by 'The Wailing' and 'Exhuma', Kim Hieora’s casting further heightens interest. She is set to play the role of Chun Seo, a single mother raising her son alone. Known for her intense and captivating performances, Kim is expected to once again showcase her versatility with a striking transformation in this film.

Kim Hieora gained widespread recognition in the Netflix original series 'The Glory', which concluded in March 2023. In it, she played the role of Lee Sa Ra, a drug-addicted artist. Later that year, she solidified her status as a formidable actress with a chilling villainous performance in 'The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch.'

However, soon after, allegations of school violence surfaced, causing a temporary setback in her career. The issue was amicably resolved in April of the following year, allowing her to search for new opportunities and prepare for a comeback. With 'Savior,' Kim Hieora is set to make a powerful return to the big screen, and audiences eagerly await her performance.

Meanwhile, 'Savior' has completed filming and is currently in post-production, with a release scheduled for later this year.
