SM Entertainment unveils powerful artist lineup for early 2025.
SM Entertainment (hereafter SM) is set to amplify the excitement of its 30th anniversary with a strong artist lineup for the rest of Q1 and into Q2 of 2025.
On February 14th, SM will release its 30th-anniversary album, ‘2025 SMTOWN: The Culture, The Future’. The album consists of 17 tracks, including the title song ‘Thank You’, along with remakes of legendary SM hits performed by junior and senior artists. RIIZE’s cover of TVXQ’s ‘Hug’ and NCT WISH’s reinterpretation of Super Junior’s ‘Miracle’have already been pre-released to great acclaim.
New-generation SM artists will be at the forefront of this quarter’s activities. Hearts2Hearts, SM’s first new girl group in five years, will make their debut on February 24th with their first single ‘The Chase’, followed by another single in Q2, aiming to make a lasting impact.
Meanwhile, RIIZE, whose popularity has skyrocketed, is preparing to release their first full-length album. NCT WISH, who made an impressive debut in 2024 and earned the title of “Best Rookie,” will continue their momentum with a new mini-album.
The second quarter will also see comebacks from major SM groups. aespa, who achieved three consecutive megahits in 2024, will return with a new mini-album. SHINee, making a long-awaited comeback, will release a new single, while WayV will also drop a mini-album as part of their ongoing album and tour promotions.
March will bring a wave of solo and unit releases, contributing to the “SM rush.” Red Velvet’s Seulgi, NCT’s Ten, and Naevis will all release mini-albums or singles. Later, NCT’s Doyoung and Mark, along with EXO’s Kai, are set to drop their solo albums.
Additionally, Super Junior-L.S.S. (Super Junior’s new unit) will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a Japanese single, while Red Velvet’s Irene & Seulgi will make a long-awaited comeback with a mini-album, their first in nearly five years since their 2020 unit debut.
Alongside album releases, SM artists will continue to meet global fans through extensive tours. Following a grand 30th-anniversary kickoff concert in Seoul in January, SMTOWN LIVE will embark on a world tour, stopping in Mexico, the U.S., and the U.K.
