Responding to fans' concerns and complaints, CNBLUE have decided to postpone their upcoming Asia tour stops in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
Originally, CNBLUE's 2024-2025 Asia tour 'Voyage Into X' was scheduled to stop in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong in March. However, in January, the band's leader Jung Yonghwa was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee, a serious injury which required surgery. The star also told fans that he could be in a cast for as long as 2 months.
Despite Jung Yonghwa's injury, FNC Entertainment gave no updates on CNBLUE's scheduled Asia tour stops, severely concerning fans. Ultimately, fans of Jung Yonghwa stepped up to issue a written request, demanding that the tour dates be postponed.
Then, on February 7 KST, Jung Yonghwa himself spoke up to address the issue, answering the fans' requests. He wrote:
"Hello, everyone! The weather has gotten so cold.
I wanted to let you know that the shows in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong have been postponed until May.
I thought I would try being a little greedy because I wanted to meet our fans as soon as possible, but the doctor concluded that I would be able to resume activities without much difficulty by April.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to joing along after shouting 'Everybody jump!' for a while, but I believe that many BOICE will put their energy into jumping in my place.
I would also like to believe that we can move your hearts just as well with our music and instruments alone.
I am constantly discussing matters with the company while receiving treatment to ensure that I don't go through any more injuries, so please do not worry.
As for the condition of my knee, I am going through physical therapy and it is beginning to bend quite nicely.
I feel that I am getting better day by day not because of any medical treatment, but because of your love and concerns. I'm ever grateful. I love you!
To the fans in Korea, please wait a little longer and I will return with a good image some time in the future!
I love you my love."
Meanwhile, CNBLUE's 'Voyage Into X' tour is also scheduled to stop in Kobe, Japan, from April 12-13, and then in 4-cities across North America from April 16-27.
