As singer-songwriter Olivia Marsh, the older sister of NewJeans’ Danielle, prepares for her comeback on February 13, there is growing interest in whether she will address the ongoing conflict between NewJeans versus HYBE and ADOR during her first official media interview.
Olivia Marsh will release her first EP, 'Meanwhile,' on February 13. Ahead of its release, she is scheduled to meet the press for the first time on February 4.
Given that Olivia Marsh is Danielle’s biological sister, it seems inevitable that she will be asked about the dispute between Danielle, her agency ADOR, and ADOR’s parent company, HYBE.
This speculation is further fueled by the recent actions of Olivia Marsh’s parents, who, along with the parents of other NewJeans members, launched an Instagram account. Their move signaled an intent to voice their stance against HYBE and ADOR, making it likely that related questions will be directed at Olivia Marsh as well.
Fans and media alike are eager to see how Olivia Marsh responds to questions regarding the challenges faced by Danielle and her family.
Previously, on January 31, the parents of NewJeans members created an Instagram account, stating, “This account has been temporarily created out of necessity to represent our stance in the dispute with HYBE.”
They added, “As there has been no official channel to convey our position, we have made numerous attempts to communicate the facts through direct interviews with various media outlets or by reaching out to journalists we have come to know."
The parents acknowledged the ongoing conflict’s toll, saying, “We understand that many may be weary from this prolonged dispute, and we sincerely apologize for that. However, the content shared through this account will primarily consist of matters that the members themselves cannot easily address. As their only spokespersons at this time, we urgently need a platform to set the record straight, and we ask for your understanding."
Meanwhile, Olivia Marsh is set to embark on an international promotion tour following the release of her EP 'Meanwhile' on February 13. She will meet fans in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on February 16, and in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 21, heightening anticipation for her upcoming activities.
Previously, Olivia Marsh showcased her distinct musical style through singles such as "42," "Heaven," and the winter song "First December with You."
