On January 23 KST, the Instagram account representing the 5 members of NewJeans announced a group naming contest. The members wrote, "Bunnies! We are holding a contest for a new group name we can use for a temporary period. Please participate through the comments!"
Earlier on this day, the 5 members also released an official statement to announce that they have hired Law Firm Sejong as their legal representative in the ongoing exclusive contract dispute against ADOR.
