The event will also mark the agency's 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of iconic music and unforgettable performances.
In preparation for this exciting celebration, SM Entertainment released a set of teasers on January 7 that brought new excitement to fans. The posters featured a "Ladder Game" connecting the names of SM artists, hinting at exciting remakes of SM's legendary hits by fellow labelmates.
In a recent article, SM Entertainment also explained that the company would be releasing a special 30th-anniversary album that features remakes of hit tracks that are reinterpreted by senior and junior artists.
SM Entertainment explained, "This special album will feature remakes of SM’s representative hit songs, reinterpreted by senior and junior artists in each team’s unique style. It will give fans the chance to experience SM’s beloved songs—moments of joy, sorrow, nostalgia, and dreams—in a whole new way."
There are already speculations on which group would be recreating the iconic SM tracks. Some are speculating that EXO would be performing Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry," while NCT Dream would reinterpret one of EXO's tracks.
