In Indonesia, the film drew approximately 310,000 viewers during its first week, marking the best opening for any Korean film in the country. It also held the number one position at the Indonesian box office for three consecutive days.

The film has been praised for its intense drama and the characters' desperate struggle to save the boy from the evil spirit. Within three days, Dark Nuns reached 600,000 viewers in Korea, providing a boost to the domestic box office and contributing to market growth. Its dramatic, emotionally charged storyline has generated significant word-of-mouth buzz across all age groups. With the Lunar New Year holiday beginning on January 27, expectations are high for the film's continued strong performance.
