Cha Eun Woo celebrated the birthday of the late Moonbin, a member of ASTRO, who tragically passed away.
On January 26, Cha Eun Woo took to his social media to post, "Happy birthday. I miss you," accompanied by photos and videos. Among the posts was an image of a memorial birthday table featuring Moonbin’s favorite snacks, as well as cherished photos of the two together. The touching gesture appeared to take place at Moonbin's gravesite.
Cha Eun Woo also shared a video of himself performing Shin Seung Hoon’s 'For a Long Time Afterwards'. As he finished the song, with tears in his eyes, he softly said, "Happy Moonbin Day."
During an appearance on You Quiz on the Block in May of last year, Cha Eun Woo opened up about the song 'Where am I', which he had written for Moonbin. He shared, "I wrote the lyrics for this album because I wanted to express my thoughts. After filming, I would cry my heart out as I wrote the words. I imagined things from Moonbin’s perspective." He added, "I still can’t bring myself to sing that song."
Moonbin tragically passed away on April 19, 2023, at his residence in Seoul. A long-term memorial space has been established at Namhansanseong's Gukcheongsa Temple, allowing fans to pay their respects to the beloved artist.
