On January 23, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and actor Park Jeong Min made a surprising confession—they visited an amusement park together.
The revelation came during the YouTube show Studio ChikaChika’s segment 'Identity Queen,' in a video titled 'BLACKPINK's Jisoo & Park Jeong Min Meet Zombies in Ruins of Seoul! | Coupang Play, Newtopia.'
The episode featured the lead couple from the upcoming Coupang Play series 'Newtopia', Jisoo and Park Jeong Min. Praising Jisoo, and Park Jeong Min shared, “Jisoo is an extraordinary person in so many ways.” He explained, “Our director loves frequent script readings, which can sometimes feel like a chore when you just want a break. But Jisoo genuinely enjoys it, and I found that captivating.”
Park Jeong Min continued to compliment his co-star, saying, “There were many moments where Jisoo had to fight zombies on her own, yet she always smiled brightly on set. Despite the challenges, she brought positive energy as the lead actor, and I often thought how amazing she was.”
During the interview, the two recalled a funny behind-the-scenes episode involving props for the show. Park Jeong Min said, “Early in the filming process, the director asked us to take some couple photos at Gyeongbokgung Palace for the show.” Jisoo added with a laugh, “The director eventually suggested that we just go on our own and take the pictures since he was too busy.”
The duo ended up visiting Lotte World amusement park together. Park Jeong Min shared, “Of course, people would recognize Jisoo, so we tried to take pictures in secluded spots. But in those places, the photos didn’t even look like they were taken at Lotte World.” Jisoo added humorously, “Looking at those photos now, it’s funny to think, ‘What kind of couple takes pictures while covering up so much?’”
When co-host Lee Soo Ji commented, “That must have been fun,” Jisoo and Park Jeong Min agreed, saying, “Now that we think about it, yes, it was a memorable experience.”
Meanwhile, 'Newtopia' will premiere on Coupang Play on February 7 at 8 PM KST. Fans are eagerly awaiting the series, which promises a unique storyline and stellar performances from its leads.
