As of January 18, 38-year-old actor Lee Jang Woo has been the subject of retirement rumors after expressing frustration over the absence of drama offers.
During the January 17th broadcast of MBC’s variety show 'I Live Alone,' Lee Jang Woo candidly shared his struggles, revealing that he hasn’t received any recent casting calls for dramas. In a surprising twist, actor Lee Ju Seung appeared in the episode, temporarily filling in for SHINee’s Key, who was absent due to illness.
Host Jun Hyun Moo explained, "Key has caught a severe cold, so we asked Ju Seung to step in at the last minute, and he graciously agreed."
As the conversation unfolded, Kian84 complimented Lee Ju Seung for his busy schedule filled with theater and drama projects.
This prompted Lee Jang Woo to express his envy, saying, "That’s great," to which Kian84 responded, "You’re not getting offers for dramas?" Lee Jang Woo sighed and admitted, "How could I? It’s not happening."
Jun Hyun Moo humorously suggested that Lee Jang Woo consider appearing on the cooking-themed reality show 'Culinary Class Wars.' Comedian Park Na Rae chimed in, asking if he had received offers from the show. Lee Jang Woo admitted, "Yes, they did approach me," but he quickly added, "But how could I possibly go on that show?"
His hesitant response drew laughter from the cast. Park Na Rae quipped, "Go as a ‘White Spoon,’ or better yet, as a ‘Hundred-Kilogram Spoon,’ and you’ll be fine," leaving the group in stitches.
Lee Jang Woo’s humorous yet heartfelt remarks have sparked discussions among fans, raising questions about his future career plans and whether he will continue pursuing acting.
