NewJeans’ Hanni recently shared an update with fans, expressing her recovery and gratitude.
On December 28th, Hanni posted on the group’s official social media account: “I’m okay now! I’m so sorry for making you worry! I love every opportunity to meet our Bunnies… but let’s make sure we can talk without creating uncomfortable or dangerous situations for each other. I hope no one feels rushed!”
This message followed an incident on December 27th, when NewJeans attended the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) at Bangkok’s IMPACT Challenger Hall and returned to Korea afterward.
During their arrival, some overzealous fans broke through security, attempting physical contact and causing a commotion. Images of a visibly shaken Hanni being comforted by her fellow members quickly spread across online communities.
Hanni further shared her feelings by adding: “I don’t want to feel uncomfortable around you guys.”
Meanwhile, despite ongoing contract disputes with their agency ADOR, NewJeans shone at AAA 2024, taking home the Artist of the Year Award, Best Performance Award, and Best Artist Award.
