The Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office's Criminal Division 1 has announced the arrest and indictment of a female BJ in her 30s, who is active on AfreecaTV, on charges of extortion under the Aggravated Punishment Act for Specific Economic Crimes.
The woman, who first met Junsu in 2019, reportedly threatened to record and distribute private conversations with him. She is accused of extorting a total of 840 million won from Kim over the course of 101 transactions spanning five years.
The police investigation revealed that the BJ committed the crime with the intent of securing funds to purchase drugs.
Previously, Junsu Kim’s representatives stated, “Junsu Kim is clearly the victim in this case,” and emphasized, “We will respond firmly to any attempts to exploit public attention.”
