SEVENTEEN opens “The City” project in Los Angeles to celebrate upcoming concert.
Pledis Entertainment announced on the 5th that it will host “Seventeen The City Los Angeles” in conjunction with SEVETEEN’s LA concert. This project will transform LA’s iconic spots and attractions into a Seventeen-themed experience.
Los Angeles marks the final destination of Seventeen’s U.S. tour, which began on the 22nd of last month. Fans can expect a series of events under The City program from November 7th to 11th, alongside the concert itself.
In collaboration with local authorities, the event will feature lighting shows, fan events, pop-up stores, and F&B partnerships, offering fans a rich variety of sights, tastes, and activities.
A major highlight will be the lighting show at Santa Monica Pier’s Pacific Wheel. On the evening of November 8th, the day before Seventeen’s concert, the 25-meter Ferris wheel will illuminate with Seventeen’s logo, creating a unique spectacle for fans. Fans can also take photos with a giant plush of “BongBongie,” inspired by SEVENTEEN’s official lightstick character.
The LA City Council will participate in The City project, presenting Seventeen with an official commendation for their contributions to art, culture, and the community. Joshua, who grew up in LA, will accept the commendation and deliver a speech about the personal significance of performing in his hometown.
A fan party will kick off the events on November 7th at Club Academy LA, one of LA’s top 10 clubs, according to the city’s tourism board. Seventeen-themed cocktails will be served, and the club will play their hit songs during peak hours, creating a memorable night for fans.
Additionally, a special pop-up store at Designer Art Gallery in downtown LA will feature 11 exclusive merchandise items, including varsity jackets, T-shirts, and hoodies designed with The City logo.
The City project will also bring Seventeen-themed culinary experiences to eight popular F&B brands in LA’s Koreatown, including renowned restaurants like “BCD Tofu House.”
A Pledis representative stated, “Seventeen’s global influence and the strong interest fans have shown in The City have allowed us to collaborate extensively with local organizations and brands in LA.” They added, “Since its inception in Japan in 2022, The City project has now expanded to the U.S., and we plan to bring this immersive artist IP experience to more regions in the future.”
Seventeen will conclude their U.S. tour with concerts in LA on November 9th and 10th. Following this, they will embark on a dome tour in four Japanese cities and, starting in January, an Asia tour with stops in Bulacan, Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok.
