Seo In Young is set to return to the music industry in January, ending her long hiatus.

According to Star News on the 27th, Seo In Young is in the final stages of preparation for a new song slated for release in January. While she initially planned a comeback in the latter half of this year, she postponed it to ensure the highest quality for her work. An official told Star News, "We are preparing on a larger scale, including a music video," adding, "We will finalize everything by the end of the year and begin activities in January."

This marks Seo In Young’s first new release since the ballad 'Comfortable' in October 2018, making it a comeback after four years and three months. The title track of her new album is also expected to be a ballad. Seo In Young previously announced that she was collaborating with hit composer Yoon Il Sang, raising anticipation among music fans. Yoon Il Sang, known for his work on a variety of iconic songs, including Lee Eun Mi's 'I Have a Lover', Cool's 'The Beach Lady', and Brown Eyed Girls' 'Oasis', is widely recognized for his versatility across genres.

Reports reveal that Seo In Young and Yoon Il Sang have already completed recording their songs. Additional efforts are being made to elevate the album’s quality, including recording string sections in the United States. Yoon Il Sang expressed his high expectations, telling Star News, "Seo In Young is diligently taking care of her health and putting her all into this comeback. I believe everyone will be satisfied with her music."

Meanwhile, Seo In Young, who debuted in 2002 as a member of the girl group Jewelry, gained widespread popularity with hits such as 'One More Time', 'I Really Like You', and 'Super Star'. She later established herself as a solo artist with her distinctive tone and impressive vocal skills, delivering hits like 'Cinderella', 'Want You', and 'Teach Me'.
