Following his latest controversy over his private life, Junsu has been in the hot seat in various online communities as many netizens are revisiting his past remarks.
Over the past few days, Junsu has been scrutinized by online users, with criticism about the missing pets he once cared for and the disturbing incident where he flushed a live frog down the toilet.
The latest issue centers around a comment the singer made during a Weverse livestream last month, which has sparked a discussion online. On October 17, Junsu sat down for some quality time with fans as he celebrated his fandom's 2nd anniversary.
During the live stream, Junsu shared insights about the latest JX concert with Jaejoong, along with some behind-the-scenes stories. While his comments caused no issues at the time, they have recently resurfaced following news that he was allegedly extorted by a female AfreecaTV BJ (streamer).
Junsu shared, "If I were to share one thing, Jaejoong and I were singing yesterday and we realized that we were the ones singing all the important parts (to TVXQ songs)." He gave out a chuckle before continuing to say, "I didn't think much of it but then we were singing, and I was like was 'this your adlib?' and he asked, 'This is your adlib?' And there were a lot of parts we were singing back and forth. It felt good."
As netizens revisited this video, many pointed out that Junsu's remark was disrespectful and tasteless. They criticized that Junsu was undermining the other members and the parts were evenly distributed.
Korean netizens commented:
"Even Teen Top’s Niel, who practically sings the whole song from start to finish, wouldn’t say something like this, lol. Wasn’t it Yunho, the main dancer, and Changmin, the high note specialist, who carried TVXQ on SM? Looking at the comments above, they even divided the parts almost equally."
"Weren’t those two originally the main vocals? In a group, each member has their own role."
"It’s disrespectful... Even though things ended badly, this just disregards the other members."
"Wow, this is really disappointing... I used to think the artist wasn’t at fault, but this really proves that the fans reflect the artist."
"With this kind of mindset, no wonder their setlist was like that."
"So TVXQ fans and the group have had to live all these years watching their oppa act like this??? This is insane…"
"It’s pathetic, lol. Acting like that makes you look insecure."
"Why don’t you just sing ‘Silk Road,’ the song you sang alone?"
"Rude."
"Seriously, he keeps talking about TVXQ as if it’s on repeat; and it’s not even in a positive light. Watching a 38-year-old say things like that is just embarrassing."
"It’s true that he’s being rude to the two members who kept the TVXQ name alive. If he left with all that noise, dropping the TVXQ title, he should just stay quiet. Meanwhile, Changmin and Yunho, who were actually involved, have been working hard for 15 years without saying a word. Who’s really stirring up trouble here? lol"
"Just sing your JYJ songs, lol. Don’t you have to pay to sing TVXQ songs anyway?"
"So rude; I never realized he was this shallow, but I’ve learned a lot now."
"He walked away from such an important position just because he didn’t like it. For 15 years, he’s been singing only ‘Silk Road,’ so where does he get the nerve to speak like this? It’s a miracle he didn’t die of jealousy when TVXQ made it to Nissan Stadium."
"Seeing someone his age speak so thoughtlessly is just pitiful."
"How rude; SM should take legal action."
"What’s wrong with him, seriously;;;; This is so embarrassing."
"They divided the parts evenly when they were in TVXQ."
"Was it really necessary to say that?"
