Kim Nam Gil is in talks to star in the upcoming webtoon-based drama 'True Education'.
On November 7, Kim Nam Gil's label responded to reports the actor was cast in 'True Education', clarifying he had received a casting offer for the series.
'True Education' is based on the webtoon of the same name, and it's an action-packed school drama about the decline of teachers' authority and students who attempt to cross boundaries and parents who go too far. The drama will be directed by Hong Jong Chan, who was behind 'Dear My Friends', 'Juvenile Justice', and the upcoming series 'Mr. Plankton'.
If cast, Kim Nam Gil will be playing the role of field supervisor of Na Hwa Jin at the Teachers' Rights Protection Bureau. Though he has a tough image, he aims to protect justice and peace at the school.
In other news, Kim Nam Gil is starring in the upcoming series 'The Fiery Priest 2'.
