(G)I-DLE reveals they all renewed their contracts with Cube Entertainment

On November 30, (G)I-DLE attended the prestigious Melon Music Awards, and ended up receiving the Record of the Year Award. But the group also gained attention with their acceptance speech, in which Soyeon revealed some shocking information about (G)I-DLE's future.

For the past several months, fans have been wondering whether (G)I-DLE would leave Cube Entertainment after their contracts ended this year, especially after some members expressed their dissatisfaction with Cube's working conditions. Rumors have even been circulating that member Soyeon had already ended her contract and was seeking another entertainment agency.

However, (G)I-DLE answered fans' questions once and for all with their revealing acceptance speech.

Member Miyeon began the speech by stating, "Thank you for giving us such a big award and thank you to everyone who loved our music this year. My mind really went blank. Because of Neverland, we get to have fun and enjoy music together like this. I want to share this moment with Neverland. Thanks to all the staff, members, family, and songwriters. I will work harder.”

Member Minnie then shared her thoughts while shedding tears. "It's an honor to receive our first Daesang at MMA. I want to say thank you to those who loved our song so much, and thank you to the members as well. We produced the album ourselves, so it's even more meaningful, and as artists who received this award, we'll show you more good music."

Soyeon finished the speech with a surprising addition: "It's our 7th year, and next year will be our 8th year. How did we receive such an amazing award in just 7 years? What kind of album receives such an award? I think we were able to receive this award because of Neverland.

There have been so many articles saying that I'm leaving the company alone because my contract is over, or that we were all leaving the company together. But we all decided to renew our contracts together, not just me. We talked about it before going up on stage today. It's all five of us. Next year, the year after, forever: we'll be together as five for the rest of our lives. We will repay you all with more good music. We'll work even harder in the future."
