Hanni clearly stated that NewJeans had faced workplace bullying and ostracism from several HYBE employees and executives. She explained, "Since our debut, I’ve encountered many senior executives at HYBE, and not once have they acknowledged my greetings," specifically calling attention to Chairman Bang Si Hyuk.
Hanni also noted that ADOR CEO Kim Joo Young had failed to take appropriate action regarding the "Ignore" incident, which she had previously raised concerns about.
In defense, CEO Kim Joo Young stated, "As an internal director at ADOR at the time, I believe I took all the appropriate measures I could. However, Hanni refuted sharply stating, "I’m sorry, but I don’t think CEO Kim did her best. There were definitely more things she could have done. Moreover, she promised to protect us. Committee Chairman Ahn Ho Young sought clarification by asking, "So, are you saying she didn’t do her best? Are you implying something along the lines of, 'I hope you do your best from now on'?"
In response, Hanni articulated, "Do your best from now on...If I say that, this issue is going to be brushed aside. So before we speak of the future, I hope this issue is addressed and resolved first."
