SF9 held their 8th-anniversary fan concert, ‘2024 SF9 FAN-CON: My 8antasia,’ on October 4th and 5th at the KBS Arena in Seoul.
This fan concert was particularly meaningful as it marked the first time member Jaeyoon performed with the group after his military discharge.
Amidst cheers from the audience, SF9 opened the concert with their title track 'Don’t Worry, Be Happy,' followed by dynamic performances of 'Into The Night' and 'SCREAM,' heating up the atmosphere. The group also treated fans to special cover stages, unit performances, and solo stages that could only be seen at the fan concert, raising the excitement to a peak.
During the concert, a VCR featuring playful proposals and romantic drama parodies, where members showcased their personalities, delighted fans. Additionally, fun interactive segments like the 'Heart Heart Please' corner, an empathy test where members had to match answers, a 'Sweet Ability Test' where they complimented each other while holding hands, and a 'Cover Ability Test' where they danced to random music, showcased the members' multi-faceted charm.
The fan concert followed a wedding concept, with SF9’s manager serving as the MC, presenting the event as a wedding between SF9 (the groom) and their fans, FANTASY (the bride), adding a unique and playful twist to the show.
SF9 shared their heartfelt feelings during the concert, saying, "We are so happy to meet FANTASY, and we hope to continue together. Performing on our 8th anniversary is a huge blessing, and this will remain a grateful memory that we will never forget."
Jaeyoon, reuniting with fans after a long time, expressed his joy, saying, "It feels great to be back as SF9’s Jaeyoon, and I look forward to meeting you again with new albums and performances." Inseong added, "There’s still so much music I want to share, so I will work hard to manage myself and show you an even better side."
During the concert’s nearly 180-minute runtime, SF9 kept fans captivated, connecting with them closely by handing out roses and showing their love for FANTASY.
After successfully wrapping up promotions for their 14th mini album 'FANTASY' in September, SF9 has completed their fan concert and will continue to pursue both individual and group activities in the future.
