Jennie's luxury gift packages are causing quite a reaction on social media.
The BLACKPINK member, who released solo comeback single "Mantra" on October 11, has been participating in Korean music shows to promote the new release, including Mnet's 'M Countdown' and MBC's 'Show! Music Core.'
On the days of prerecording, photos of the gifts being distributed to the fans in attendance were spreading online. According to a Nate Pann posting, the 'M Countdown' items included Adidas socks, Hera cosmetics (cushion foundation and lipcolor), a packed lunch, snacks, beverages, and exclusive photocards, while the 'Show! Music Core' items included an Adidas Linear duffle bag, Tamburins solid perfume and hand cream, a packed lunch, beverages, and exclusive photocards.
The gift packages gained attention for being something that can only be provided by an idol with as many top brand deals as Jennie, as she currently has endorsement contracts with Adidas, Hera, and Tamburins, among others. In response to the photos, netizens commented the Nate Pann post with reactions like, "I've never been to a pre-recording before, and even though I'm still not considering going to one, wow, I'm jealous," "Jennie really freaking loves her fans," "This is 'Jennie class.' So cool," "An idol who's nice to their fans really lasts a long time. This time, the song has a lot of feel to it, and the overseas response is good. I'm not a Blink or a Jennie fan, but Jennie is so nice to her fans that I think she'll do well. Judging from the fan-signing short videos that are always circulating, she really seems to take care of her fans," "An alpha female who spends a lot of money on her fans is freaking cool," and "Jennie, do more music shows please!"
Meanwhile, as previously reported, Jennie's new single "Mantra" is seeing chart success internationally, including the #1 position on iTunes' 'Top Songs' charts in 57 countries/regions, including the U.S., Brazil, Singapore, the Philippines, and Mexico.
