Recently, Korean online communities had a trending topic of conversation after "Min Hee Jin" and "Bang Si Hyuk" were reportedly spotted strolling through a mall in China.
Photos circulated showing "Min Hee Jin" wearing her signature look: a green-striped shirt and blue baseball cap - the exact outfit she wore to the press conference where she publically addressed HYBE. Beside her was "Bang Si Hyuk" donning a black shirt and khaki pants, nearly identical to what he wore in LA while hanging out with female streamer Juicy Seyeon.
The photos left some Korean netizens scratching their heads and wondering why the former ADOR CEO and HYBE chairman were suddenly doing some low-key shopping abroad.
Turns out, the two were actually Chinese fans who were dressed as "Min Hee Jin" and "Bang Si Hyuk" for an early Halloween.
Korean netizens reacted:
"Omg this scared me so much."
"I was wondering what this was."
"So crazy."
"Halloween lol. I'm now feeling the immense influence of K-pop. Those two individuals probably dressed like that because a lot of people would recognize who they're dressed as."
"This is so hilarious."
"I think this was funny."
"It's funny how they added the Dispatch watermark lol."
"I don't think this is funny at all..."
"They dressed so accurately."
"This is impressive."
"I thought this was real for a moment."
"They know how to enjoy themselves for sure."
"This is so gross lol. I thought it was real."
"I don't know what part of this was funny..."
"I think it's a light joke. People shouldn't take it too seriously."
"Min Hee Jin doesn't deserve to be mocked like this though."
