HYBE's Q4 2024 release plan was recently unveiled. However, NewJeans' highly anticipated full album release has been omitted from the plan.
This came as an immense surprise to fans since the omission came despite earlier hints from Min Hee Jin about the group's plan for a new album release in the fourth quarter of this year. Even during NewJeans' Tokyo Done fan meeting in March, the group revealed they were preparing a full album for Q4 2024. Unfortunately, it seems the group's release has been excluded for this year.
In a previous interview, Min Hee Jin revealed that NewJeans' upcoming album had faced delays and may not be released as originally planned. This was due to her removal from her position as CEO of ADOR.
Just as Min Hee Jin had voiced her concerns, it appears that NewJeans' full album release has been canceled for this year.
Korean netizens and fans also voiced their disappointment and commented:
"We were right. They are going to be stored away..."
"This is so disappointing!"
"I was looking forward to NewJeans' full album!"
"Dang it!"
"This company is ruining the music market."
"It seems this is how things are going to turn out. Poor NewJeans. The company already stole Min Hee Jin's formula... so the fake version succeeded. Now that they get rid of the real one, the success of the fake one will remain as theirs."
"Min Hee Jin said she has no thoughts on leaving HYBE. Why can't they reinstate her and just let her work on this group? HYBE is so low preventing NewJeans from making a come back."
"This is so annoying."
"Please save NewJeans."
"I really wanted to see NewJeans' full album!"
"Everyone was saying HYBE would be blatantly storing NewJeans away."
"NewJeans needs to escape HYBE fast."
"HYBE needs to rot."
"This is so wrong."
