Actress Han So Hee has been found to be a year older than her profile age.
On October 31, her label 9ato Entertainment explained why she was listed as being born in 1994 when her actual birthdate was in 1993. The label stated, "When she was in the 4th grade, due to her mother's legal issues, she was forced to move to Ulsan. She then spent a year at home, unable to continue her studies, and after her mother was imprisoned, she returned to Wonju and re-enrolled in the 4th grade."
It seems the process of re-enrollment caused a mixup of Han So Hee's age. This came about due to her mother's fraud charges, which meant she could only resume her education a year later. Previously, Han So Hee's mother, identified as Ms. Shin, was arrested for operating an illegal gambling establishment.
At the time, Han So Hee's agency stated, "The matters related to Han So Hee's mother are extremely personal issues caused by her mother. Han So Hee is deeply saddened to learn about this through the news. We want to clarify that this incident is entirely unrelated to the actress and is solely due to her mother’s unilateral actions. We apologize for sharing uncomfortable news that is personal rather than related to her work."
Additionally, Han So Hee had previously opened up about her family situation during a controversy 4 years ago, stating, "I grew up with my grandmother from the age of five after my parents divorced and had no contact with my mother, but I ended up paying off her debts." The actress' mother was recently reported to have asked her for money once again.
