The members of 2NE1 expressed their strong friendship and love for their fans.
On the October 23rd episode of tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' (episode 266), 2NE1 members Park Bom, Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy appeared as guests.
When CL was asked about the reunion, she explained, "Up until four months ago, we were officially disbanded. Even getting together for a meal with friends required setting a date. It was difficult (due to schedules) to get all four of us together, but we made a habit of having a meal around the beginning of the year for our youngest member Minzy’s birthday (January 18). So it was natural for me to invite all the members to Coachella (in 2022)." She continued, "This year is also our 15th anniversary, so we thought it would be a great time to commemorate it together. Initially, we just wanted to start with a photo."
Minzy added her thoughts on the special 15th-anniversary concert, "We wanted to give our fans a special gift for the 15th anniversary. Seeing the four of us reflected in the mirror during our final pose was truly touching."
Sandara Park recalled, "A lot of the fans who supported us from our debut came, and it turned into an emotional party right from the opening. Everyone was just as excited as we were, and it felt like a massive club with nearly 4,000 seats. I think I went even crazier on stage. Standing on that stage felt surreal like I was in a dream. It was heartwarming to see posts from fans who were students 10 years ago, unable to attend concerts, now saying, 'I can finally buy a ticket with my own salary.'"
2NE1 debuted on May 17, 2009, and became beloved for numerous hits including "Lollipop," "Fire," "Lonely," "I Am the Best," and "I Don't Care," but disbanded in 2016. However, in 2022, they reunited for a full group performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, making headlines.
On July 22, YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun Suk officially announced the 2NE1 project, teasing a 15th-anniversary concert in Seoul and a global tour. The group held their concert at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park from October 4 to 6.
