KARA's Youngji is parting ways with DSP Media after 10 years.
On September 5, DSP Media announced Youngji is leaving the label following the end of her exclusive contract. The label's announcement stated as follows:
"Hello. This is DSP Media.
First of all, we would like to thank the fans for their generous love and support towards Heo Youngji.
We would like to inform you that the exclusive contract period of Heo Youngji, who has been with us with special trust for the past 10 years, has ended.
As our artist, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Heo Youngji, who has provided positive energy both on and off stage, and we will support her future endeavors.
We ask for your continued love and interest in Heo Youngji, who is about to embark on a new beginning.
Thank you."
Youngji debuted as a member of KARA in 2014 under DSP Media after competing on the reality series 'Kara Project'. She also made her solo debut under DSP Media in 2017 and later renewed her contract with the label in August of 2021.
