Streamer Juicy Seyeon has sparked attention again online due to the price of her outfit after she was previously spotted with HYBE's Chairman Bang Si Hyuk in Los Angeles. The outfit, which she wore during the sighting with Bang, was revealed to be priced under 10,000 KRW (approximately $7 USD), according to a post in an online community.
The post, titled "Juicy Seyeon's outfit price is shocking," included photos of the exact outfit, labeled as "SHEIN ICON Y2K Slim Fit Graffiti Print Top & Skirt," priced around 5,900 KRW (4.40 USD). The uploader noted how surprising it was given her reported annual earnings of 3 billion KRW (~2.237 million USD).
Fans were further surprised as the exact same outfit was found on the Chinese online shopping platform SHEIN, retailing for 7.07 USD after a discount from the original price of 11.79 USD. It remains unclear if Juicy Seyeon purchased the outfit from SHEIN, but the design appears to be the same.
They also noted that the Chanel handbag she had was priced at 8.67 million KRW (~6,500 USD).
Reactions online were mixed, with some netizens commenting, “I thought it would be luxury brand clothing,” "I guess she doesn't spend money on clothes," and “It’s all about how you wear it,” expressing surprise over her budget-friendly choice.
This is not the first time Juicy Seyeon has made headlines. She previously drew attention when she was spotted walking alongside Bang Si Hyuk in Beverly Hills, leading to much speculation about their relationship. HYBE clarified that they 'had met by chance, and he simply guided her around tourist spots and restaurants.' The streamer also explained the circumstances of her meeting with Bang in LA through an AfreecaTV live stream. She revealed that she had gotten to know Bang Si Hyuk due to a HYBE impersonation scam and that 'since there was a restaurant in the US that was difficult to make a reservation at, Bang said he could help make a reservation if she accompanied him, so they went to the restaurant together.'
Born in 2000, Juicy Seyeon debuted as a streamer on AfreecaTV in June 2019 and gained further recognition after her appearance on Netflix’s 'The Influencer.' In May of this year, she revealed in a YouTube interview that her annual income exceeds 3 billion KRW (2.237 million USD).
Other Korean netizens commented:
"Wow, I didn't think it would be that cheap... Doesn't look like 5,900 KRW."
"That outfit is about the price of one cup of coffee."
"I can't believe it's from SHEIN."
"The outfit is so cheap."
"Maybe it costs so cheap because it doesn't take too much fabric to make."
