Actors Jeon Jong-seo and Jang Yoon-ju recently enjoyed a cozy hotel staycation, sharing their experience on Jang Yoon-ju’s YouTube channel YOONJOUR on September 4th.
The video, titled "Jeon Jong-seo's Hotel Mukbang and a Chaotic Night - Does She Like Me That Much?", featured the two stars spending quality time together.
Jang Yoon-ju invited Jeon Jong-seo to join her for the staycation, where Jeon revealed that she was recovering from a stomach infection. Despite her condition, she added a playful touch to her outfit with a keyring. As they headed to a convenience store, Jang asked if Jeon wanted to wear sunglasses, to which Jeon humorously replied that she avoids them because she thinks she looks like a fly when she does.
Noticing that Jeon had lost weight, Jang expressed concern while they shared a cup of instant ramen. Jang remarked, "I haven't eaten cup noodles in over a year. I don't usually eat ramen, but this tastes amazing."
During their time together, Jeon Jong-seo opened up about the challenges she faces in her acting career. She discussed her struggles with historical dramas, particularly the traditional speech patterns used by women in such roles. She questioned whether these patterns were an artistic creation of her predecessors or if they were historically accurate. Jeon shared that she felt like a foreigner speaking Korean in such roles, so she tried to balance her natural speech with the period-specific dialogue.
The two actors became close after working together on the series Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. Jeon shared that she initially had some preconceived notions about celebrities but found Jang Yoon-ju’s simplicity and humility refreshing. She mentioned that Jang felt like someone she had known for a long time, despite their relatively recent acquaintance. Jeon humorously described Jang’s unique charm as having a "pleasant, cozy scent."
As the video continued, Jeon Jong-seo showed the clothes she brought for the stay, playfully noting that she would match Jang's level of exposure—dressing provocatively if Jang did, or modestly otherwise. Jang laughed, stating, "I don't dress provocatively," before trying on some of Jeon's outfits. The duo then changed into swimsuits and headed to the pool, fully embracing the staycation experience. After swimming, Jeon shyly mentioned that she was not wearing any makeup, adding a candid touch to their fun day.
The video not only highlighted their friendship but also gave fans a glimpse into their off-screen personalities and the genuine bond they share.
