BLACKPINK Jennie's agency has clarified misunderstandings involving the artist's use of the term "Rubies" to greet her fans.
On September 19 KST, Jennie revealed a short voice message to her fans, saying, "Hi rubies, it's Jennie. Stay tuned, and I’ll see you soon. Love you, bye!".
While hinting at her anticipated solo comeback, the BLACKPINK member used the term "Rubies" to refer to her fans, leading to speculations that the term may become her official fan club name.
However, solo artist Kwon Eun Bi is currently using the same term "RUBI" as the official name for her fan club, raising similarity issues.
In response, OA Entertainment clarified, "The term was randomly used to refer to the fans on a one time basis, and this does not mean that it is Jennie's official fan club name."
Meanwhile, Jennie is set to return with a new single in October.
