In celebration of her 16th debut anniversary, IU once again demonstrated her philanthropic commitment to giving back. The artist made substantial donations to several charitable organizations under both her name and her fandom name, UAENA.

On September 17, IU shared, "For the past 16 years, I've come to realize how wonderful love is, thanks to people like UAENA. Being able to do meaningful things together under the same name has now become my greatest joy. Thank you. I love you 💜," and shared photos of the donation certificates.

IU donated a total of 225 million KRW (~168,750 USD) to Green Umbrella (Childfund Korea, 75 million KRW + 50 million KRW), The Milk Delivery Project for Checking in on Seniors (50 million KRW), and Support for Children with Rare and Incurable Diseases (50 million KRW).



IU has been well known to consistently set a positive influence to help those in need throughout her career, making significant donations to various causes.

Korean netizens were impressed with the donation IU made once again this year and praised the artist in various online community discussions.
